(a) Beginning on the first day of the state fiscal year, the state shall annually compensate each county in an amount equal to 60 percent of the annual base salary the state pays to a district judge as set by the General Appropriations Act in accordance with Section 659.012(a) for each statutory probate court judge in the county.
(b) The amount shall be paid to the county treasury for deposit in the contributions fund created under Section 25.00213 in equal monthly installments from funds appropriated from the judicial fund.
