Texas Government Code - GOV'T § 2170.052. Balancing Technological Advancements and Existing Facilities

In the planning, design, implementation, and operation of the consolidated telecommunications system, the department shall maintain an appropriate balance between the adoption of technological advancements and the efficient use of existing facilities and services to avoid misapplication of state money and degradation or loss of the integrity of existing systems and facilities.
