Texas Government Code - GOV'T § 1477.151. Authority to Purchase Fire-Fighting Equipment

The commissioners court of a county may purchase fire trucks and other fire-fighting equipment to be used for the protection and preservation of bridges, county shops, county warehouses, and other county property located in the county but outside the boundaries of municipalities.
