(a) The general custodian of election records shall conduct the first test of automatic tabulating equipment used in a central counting station and the test of automatic tabulating equipment used at a polling place in conjunction with the test of logic and accuracy conducted under Section 129.023 and shall provide notice of the date, hour, and place of the test in the same manner as required for the public test of logic and accuracy.
(a-1) Repealed by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., ch. 1015 (S.B. 2166), § 10, eff. Sept. 1, 2025.
(b) The test is open to the public.
(c) The automatic tabulating equipment may not be used to count ballots voted in the election until a test is successful.
