(a) Except as provided by Subsection(b), a school district shall permit a person who is eligible under Section 25.001 to attend school in the district but who is not enrolled in school in the district to enroll in a district summer school course on the same basis as a district student, including:
(1) satisfaction of any course eligibility requirement; and
(2) payment of any fee authorized under Section 11.158 that is charged in connection with the course.
(b) Subsection (a) does not apply to enrollment in a program under Section 29.088 or 29.090 or in a similar intensive program.
