Texas Education Code - EDUC § 130.085. Tuition Exemption

(a) The board of trustees of any public junior college may exempt from payment of tuition all students who are residents of the junior college district and who are enrolled for 12 or more semester credit hours, provided that this action will allow the college to participate in and benefit from funds available as provided by Sections 1-7, Title I, 64 Stat. 1100, as amended, 20 U.S.C. Secs. 236-241-1.  1

(b) This action by the board of trustees does not affect their authority under Section 130.123, nor does this section in any way supersede that section.  This action of the board does not affect the right of the college to an allocation of state appropriations under this chapter and Chapter 130A.
