Texas Code of Criminal Procedure - CRIM P Art. § 45A.165. Mistrial

<Text of article effective January 1, 2025>

(a) A justice or municipal court shall discharge a jury if the jury fails to agree to a verdict after being kept together a reasonable period.

(b) If a jury is discharged under Subsection (a), the justice or judge may impanel another jury as soon as practicable to try the case.
