Sections 8-50-803 and 8-50-804 do not apply to state employees or teachers employed by a local school board in Tennessee who leave the employ of the state or of that board in good standing and become full-time state employees within six (6) months of the date of termination. Such employees shall immediately be credited with all sick leave to which they were entitled at the time of the previous termination.
