(a)(1) The secretary shall keep an accurate record of the minutes of the meetings of the board and shall keep an accurate and complete register showing the names and addresses of all persons to whom licenses or certificates to practice as dispensing opticians have been issued by the board.
(2) The secretary of the board shall be paid a salary not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) per year, in addition to per diem and mileage allowances and necessary expenses as fixed and approved by the board. All reimbursement for travel expenses shall be in accordance with the comprehensive travel regulations as promulgated by the department of finance and administration and approved by the attorney general and reporter.
(b) The board will employ such investigators as are deemed necessary to effectually carry out this chapter and shall be represented by the attorney named to represent the state regulatory and registration boards.
(c) The board shall receive administrative support from the division of health related boards in the department of health, referred to as the “division” in this chapter.
