Tennessee Code Title 57. Intoxicating Liquors § 57-1-210

In addition to the other duties imposed under this title, the commission is authorized to investigate and to arrest any person whom the arresting officer has probable cause to believe is committing or attempting to commit any crime occurring on premises licensed under this title or arising from any investigation of violations under this title whether such violations would be criminal or regulatory in nature or committed within, or outside of, a premises licensed under this title.  The commission may issue subpoenas to compel the attendance of witnesses and the production of relevant books, accounts, records, and documents for the purpose of carrying out the duties of the commission.
