Tennessee Code Title 55. Motor and Other Vehicles § 55-4-324

(a)(1) An owner or lessee of a motor vehicle who is a resident of this state, upon complying with state motor vehicle laws relating to registration and licensing of motor vehicles and paying the regular fee applicable to the motor vehicle and the fee provided for in § 55-4-204, shall be issued a Promote Peace new specialty earmarked license plate for a motor vehicle authorized by § 55-4-210(c).

(2) The new specialty earmarked plates provided for in this subsection (a) must be designed in consultation with representatives of the Madison/Goodlettsville Rotary club and the Promote Peace Foundation.

(3) The funds produced from the sale of Promote Peace new specialty earmarked license plates must be allocated to the Promote Peace Foundation in accordance with § 55-4-301.  The funds must be used exclusively to support peacebuilding and conflict resolution initiatives across this state in cooperation with Tennessee Rotary organizations to provide outreach to their communities focusing on the importance of promoting peace and resolving conflicts, including providing funding to local schools and camps for educational materials related to peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and anti-bullying.

(b)(1) An owner or lessee of a motor vehicle who is a resident of this state, upon complying with state motor vehicle laws relating to registration and licensing of motor vehicles and paying the regular fee applicable to the motor vehicle and the fee provided for in § 55-4-204, shall be issued a 100 Black Men new specialty earmarked license plate for a motor vehicle authorized by § 55-4-210(c).

(2) The new specialty earmarked plates provided for in this subsection (b) must be designed in consultation with a representative of 100 Black Men of Memphis, Inc.

(3) The funds produced from the sale of 100 Black Men new specialty earmarked license plates must be allocated to 100 Black Men of Memphis, Inc., in accordance with § 55-4-301.  The funds must be used exclusively in this state to support the organization's mission to support local communities and mentor and develop young people into future leaders through programs and services focusing on the areas of mentoring, education, health and wellness, and economic empowerment.

(c)(1) An owner or lessee of a motor vehicle who is a resident of this state, upon complying with state motor vehicle laws relating to registration and licensing of motor vehicles and paying the regular fee applicable to the motor vehicle and the fee provided for in § 55-4-204, shall be issued an America at Its Best new specialty earmarked license plate for a motor vehicle authorized by § 55-4-210(c).

(2) The new specialty earmarked plates provided for in this section must be designed in consultation with a representative of Coalesce Social Services, Inc.

(3) The funds produced from the sale of America at Its Best new specialty earmarked license plates must be allocated to Coalesce Social Services, Inc., in accordance with § 55-4-301.  The funds must be used exclusively to provide transitional housing and related services to persons experiencing homelessness.

(e)(1) An owner or lessee of a motor vehicle who is a resident of this state, upon complying with state motor vehicle laws relating to registration and licensing of motor vehicles and paying the regular fee applicable to the motor vehicle and the fee provided in § 55-4-204, shall be issued a Singing for Change new specialty earmarked license plate for a motor vehicle authorized by § 55-4-210(c).

(2) The new specialty earmarked license plates authorized by this subsection (e) must be of an appropriate design or logo representative of Singing for Change.  The plates must be designed in consultation with a representative from SFC Charitable Foundation, Inc.

(3) The funds produced from the sale of Singing for Change new specialty earmarked license plates must be allocated to SFC Charitable Foundation, Inc., in accordance with § 55-4-301.  The funds must be used exclusively in this state in furtherance of the mission of the organization created by Jimmy Buffett to support community and charitable programs and services that address the root causes of social or environmental problems and inspire, empower, and equip people to become more self-sufficient.

(f)(1) An owner or lessee of a motor vehicle who is a resident of this state, upon complying with state motor vehicle laws relating to registration and licensing of motor vehicles and paying the regular fee applicable to the motor vehicle and the fee provided in § 55-4-204, shall be issued a YMCA new specialty earmarked license plate for a motor vehicle authorized by § 55-4-210(c).

(2) The new specialty earmarked license plates authorized by this subsection (f) must be of an appropriate design or logo representative of the Tennessee State Alliance of YMCAs.  The plates must be designed in consultation with a representative from the Tennessee State Alliance of YMCAs.

(3) The funds produced from the sale of YMCA new specialty earmarked license plates must be allocated to the Tennessee State Alliance of YMCAs, in accordance with § 55-4-301.  The funds must be used exclusively in furtherance of the organization's mission to promote a healthier spirit, mind, and body for all.

(g)(1) An owner or lessee of a motor vehicle who is a resident of this state, upon complying with state motor vehicle laws relating to registration and licensing of motor vehicles and paying the regular fee applicable to the motor vehicle and the fee provided in § 55-4-204, shall be issued a LaMissTenn Kiwanis new specialty earmarked license plate for a motor vehicle authorized by § 55-4-210(c).

(2) The new specialty earmarked license plates authorized by this subsection (g) must be of an appropriate design or logo representative of the Louisiana-Mississippi-West Tennessee (LaMissTenn) District of Kiwanis International.  The plates must be designed in consultation with a representative from the LaMissTenn District of Kiwanis International.

(3) The funds produced from the sale of LaMissTenn Kiwanis new specialty earmarked license plates must be allocated to the Louisiana-Mississippi-West Tennessee (LaMissTenn) District of Kiwanis International, in accordance with § 55-4-301.  The funds must be used exclusively in this state to support the organization's service projects focused on youth.
