Rhode Island General Laws Title 42. State Affairs and Government § 42-56-20. Care and employment of short-term prisoners

In the case of any person sentenced to imprisonment in the adult correctional institutions for a term of one year or less, the person shall be classified and placed in any custodial care and employment that shall be deemed appropriate by the director.
