The settlement of the accounts of an executor or administrator by the probate court,
or on appeal, shall be final and conclusive on all parties concerned; provided, that
upon the settlement of an account, all former accounts of the same executor or administrator
may be so far opened as to correct a mistake or error apparent in the settlement.
