Rhode Island General Laws Title 30. Military Affairs and Defense § 30-3-28. Transfer of enlisted persons

(a) Enlisted persons in the national guard may be transferred to or from units, organizations, departments, corps, and detachments, or otherwise, as provided under the laws and regulations of the United States pertaining to the national guard.

(b) In each case of transfer, the office of the adjutant general must be notified, in writing, by the officer granting the transfer.
