(a) On the effective date of this section, for covered electronic products other than televisions and printers, manufacturers have individual financial responsibility for the collection, transportation, and recycling of their covered electronic products and adjusted share of orphan waste that have been discarded by households or public and private elementary and secondary schools in Rhode Island.
(b) On the effective date of this section, for televisions and printers, each television and printer manufacturer has financial responsibility for the collection, transportation, and recycling of televisions and printers, respectively, and an adjusted share of orphan waste, that have been discarded by households or public and private elementary and secondary schools in Rhode Island, based on the television or printer manufacturer's market share.
