(a) A resident or their representative shall be permitted to conduct authorized electronic monitoring of the resident's room or private living unit through the use of electronic monitoring devices placed in the resident's room or private living unit as provided in this chapter.
(b) Nothing in this chapter precludes the use of electronic monitoring of health care as authorized pursuant to state or federal law.
