The jurisdiction hereby ceded shall not vest until the United States shall have acquired the title to said land, and shall continue so long as the said land shall remain the property of the United States, and no longer, and the same shall be and continue, while so held, exonerated from all taxes, assessments and other charges which may be levied under the authority of the state of Pennsylvania.
