Any airport authority, except an authority located within a county of the first or second class, is hereby empowered to employ such persons as are necessary to provide for the safety and well-being of persons and property at the airport. The persons who are so employed shall have the power to act in accordance with the provisions of Title 75 (relating to vehicles). The persons who are so employed shall also be subject to the provisions of the act of June 18, 1974 (P.L. 359, No. 120), referred to as the Municipal Police Education and Training Law. 1 All fines forfeited, recognizances and other fines imposed, lost or forfeited, shall be payable to the airport authority.
