On the first Monday of January, one thousand nine hundred and forty-two, the terms of all members of the board for the assessment and revision of taxes and of all subordinate assessors and clerks employed by the board in counties of the second class shall cease and terminate, and the board for the assessment and revision of taxes as now constituted in counties of the second class is hereby abolished. On said date all books, records, maps, plans, equipment and supplies in the possession of the board for the assessment and revision of taxes shall be turned over and delivered to the Board of Property Assessment, Appeals and Review created by this act.
