Pennsylvania Statutes Title 72 P.S. Taxation and Fiscal Affairs § 1721-A.1. Definitions

The following words and phrases when used in this subarticle shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:

“Account.”  The Pennsylvania Race Horse Development Restricted Receipts Account created in section 1722-A.1(b).

“Administrative Code of 1929.”  The act of April 9, 1929 (P.L. 177, No. 175), known as The Administrative Code of 1929.  1

“Category 1 licensee.”  A person issued a category 1 license under 4 Pa.C.S. Ch. 13 (relating to licensees).

“Commission.”  The State Horse Racing Commission established under 3 Pa.C.S. § 9311 (relating to State Horse Racing Commission).

“Department.”  The Department of Revenue of the Commonwealth.

“Fund.”  The Pennsylvania Race Horse Development Fund created in section 1722-A.1.

“Gross terminal revenue.”  The term shall have the same meaning as in 4 Pa.C.S. § 1103 (relating to definitions).

“Horsemen's organization.”  The term shall have the same meaning as in 4 Pa.C.S. § 1103 (relating to definitions).

“Licensed gaming entity.”  The term shall have the same meaning as in 4 Pa.C.S. § 1103 (relating to definitions).

“Pennsylvania Breeding Fund.”  The restricted account in the State Racing Fund established under 3 Pa.C.S. § 9336 (relating to Pennsylvania Breeding Fund).

“Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Fund.”  The restricted account in the State Racing Fund established under 3 Pa.C.S. § 9337 (relating to Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Fund).
