Section 1. The power and duty to finance schools and classes established by the Department of Education in Youth Development Centers and Youth Forestry Camps, as set forth in section 1926 of the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L. 30, No. 14), known as the “Public School Code of 1949”, 1 are hereby transferred from the Department of Public Welfare to the Department of Education.
Section 2. Rescinded by 1999, June 22, P.L. 99, No. 15, § 6(a), effective July 1, 1999.
Section 3. There are hereby transferred to the Department of Education to be used, employed and expended in connection with the functions, powers and duties transferred by sections 1 and 2 of this Reorganization Plan, personnel, contract obligations, if any, records, files, property, supplies and equipment now being used or held in connection with such functions, powers and duties.
Section 4. Article XIX of the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L. 30, No. 14), known as the “Public School Code of 1949,” 2 is hereby suspended insofar as it conflicts with this Reorganization Plan.
