Whenever a person, institution, credit union, licensee or other entity of any kind whatsoever shall not comply with the terms of an order of the department which has been properly issued under the circumstances pursuant to this act or any other law, the department, upon notice to the person, institution, credit union, licensee or entity may, in addition to the authority provided by any other law, through the Office of Attorney General, petition the Commonwealth Court for an order directing the institution to obey the order of the department within such period as shall be fixed by the court. Upon the filing of such petition, the court shall allow a rule to show cause why it should not be granted. Whenever, after a hearing upon the merits, it shall appear that the order of the department was lawfully issued, the court shall grant the petition of the department.
