The water treatment facilities providing water disposal services exclusively relating to conventional oil and gas wells and operating under National Pollutant Discharge and Elimination System and other permits issued by the Department of Environmental Protection, shall be allowed to operate under existing permits as of the effective date of this subsection, through December 31, 2019. For the purpose of this subsection, the term “conventional oil and gas well” shall have the same meaning as provided in section 2 of the act of June 23, 2016 (P.L. 375, No. 52), 1 known as the “Pennsylvania Grade Crude Development Act.”
