Pennsylvania Statutes Title 71 P.S. State Government § 2604. Duties of department

The department shall, in a secure fashion, provide an individual's SSN to a Commonwealth agency or municipality when the Commonwealth agency or municipality provides the department with an alternative number pursuant to section 3(a)  1 in a manner prescribed by the department, and provided the Commonwealth agency or municipality states the individual's Social Security number will not be further released, except as required pursuant to Federal or State law.
