Pennsylvania Statutes Title 71 P.S. State Government § 1261.4. Lease or sale of telephone lines

The Department of Forests and Waters, when it is recommended by the Chief Forest Fire Warden and approved by the Secretary of Forests and Waters,  1 is authorized to lease or sell its telephone lines, or any part thereof, whenever it can increase the efficiency of its communication facilities or reduce its expenses by so doing. All moneys received from such lease or sale shall be paid into the General Fund of the State Treasury.

1 The powers and duties conferred upon the Secretary of Forests and Waters, the Department of Forests and Waters and the Chief Forest Fire Warden by this statute have been transferred to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. See 71 P.S. § 1340.304.
