The following words and phrases when used in this act shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
“Clinical privileges.”The authority to provide patient care which may include, but is not limited to, psychological assessments, psychotherapy, consultation and other privileges consistent with section 4. 1
“Hospital.” As defined under section 802.1 of the act of July 19, 1979 (P.L. 130, No. 48), 2 known as the Health Care Facilities Act.
“Physician.” An individual licensed under the act of October 5, 1978 (P.L. 1109, No. 261), 3 known as the Osteopathic Medical Practice Act, or the act of December 20, 1985 (P.L. 457, No. 112), 4 known as the Medical Practice Act of 1985.
“Psychologist.” A person who is licensed in accordance with the provisions of the act of March 23, 1972 (P.L. 136, No. 52), 5 known as the Professional Psychologists Practice Act.
