An item of appropriation shall be inserted in the General Appropriation Bill to pay the expenses of the members of the commission as constituted by this act, and for the salary of the director, clerical and other hire and incidental expenses. No member of the commission shall receive any remuneration, salary or expenses as a member of the commission other than remuneration, salary and expenses as a member of the General Assembly and travelling expenses incurred upon the business of the commission or it study committees.
