No appropriation, heretofore made to pay the salary or per diem compensation of any officer or employe of the Senate or of the House of Representatives whose office or employment is abolished by this act, shall lapse by reason thereof, but all sums so appropriated are hereby reappropriated to the Senate or to the House of Representatives, as the case may be, for the purpose of paying the salaries and per diem or other compensations provided for by this act.
