(a) Authorization.--In accordance with the act of May 29, 1935 (P.L. 244, No. 102), 1 referred to as the Local Government Commission Law, the Local Government Commission may, in addition to or in lieu of printed publication and distribution, publish, maintain and update electronic copies of the following:
(1) The act of June 23, 1931 (P.L. 932, No. 317), 2 known as The Third Class City Code.
(2) The act of June 24, 1931 (P.L. 1206, No. 331), 3 known as The First Class Township Code.
(3) The act of May 1, 1933 (P.L. 103, No. 69), 4 known as The Second Class Township Code.
(4) The act of August 9, 1955 (P.L. 323, No. 130), 5 known as The County Code.
(5) The act of February 1, 1966 (1965 P.L. 1656, No. 581), 6 known as The Borough Code.
(b) Availability.--Publications under subsection (a) shall be available on an Internet website maintained by the commission in a secure format accessible to the public and shall be updated within 60 days of the enactment of any amendment.
