Pennsylvania Statutes Title 40 Pa.C.S.A. Insurance § 7134. Use of confidential information by department

(1) Use confidential information in the furtherance of any regulatory or legal action brought against a company as a part of the department's official duties.

(2) Share confidential information with regulatory or law enforcement officials of this Commonwealth or other jurisdictions, IAIS, NAIC and its affiliates and subsidiaries, group-wide supervisors and members of a supervisory college under section 1406.1 of The Insurance Company Law of 1921,  1 if prior to receiving the confidential information the recipient agrees, and has the legal authority to agree, to maintain the confidential and privileged status of the confidential information in the same manner and to the same extent as required for the commissioner.

(3) Receive, and shall maintain as confidential, any confidential information from the Actuarial Board for Counseling and Discipline or its successor, from NAIC and its affiliates and subsidiaries and from regulatory and law enforcement officials of this Commonwealth or other jurisdictions with the understanding that the documents, materials or other information received are confidential by law in those jurisdictions and shall be given the same confidential treatment provided by this subchapter.
