The following various sections of public roads shall, respectively, be adopted by the Commonwealth as State highways, to be constructed and maintained at the expense of the Commonwealth under the provisions of present or future laws governing State highways, except as hereinafter provided.
Beginning at a point in the city of Pittsburgh at the south end of the Point Bridge, thence over West Carson Street and East Carson Street to the line between the city of Pittsburgh and Baldwin Township; thence over a section of improved road in Baldwin Township, known as East Carson Street Extension, to the line between Baldwin Township and the city of Pittsburgh; thence over Baldwin Road and Riverton Street in the city of Pittsburgh to the line between the city of Pittsburgh and West Homestead Borough; thence over borough streets and county road, through West Homestead, Homestead, Munhall, and Wittaker Boroughs and Mifflin Township, to a point on the northerly line between Duquesne City and Mifflin Township; thence over Duquesne Boulevard, North Second Street, South Second Street, Library Place, and South Duquesne Avenue in the city of Duquesne to the southerly line between Duquesne City of Mifflin Township; thence in a southerly direction over county roads and borough streets, through Mifflin Township and Dravosburg Borough, to the northerly line between Mifflin Township and Clairton City; thence over North State and State Streets and State Highway Route three hundred seventy-six, in the city of Clairton, to the line between Clairton City and Jefferson Township; thence over State Highway Route three hundred seventy-six, through Jefferson Township, to West Elizabeth Borough; thence over State Highway Route three hundred seventy-six and three hundred thirty in West Elizabeth Borough to the intersection of Route three hundred thirty with an improved county road in Jefferson Township, known as the Dravosburg County Road Extension; thence over the Dravosburg County Road Extension to the line between Allegheny and Washington Counties.
Beginning at a point at the intersection of Canaan Street and Belmont Street in the city of Carbondale, in Lackawanna County, thence in a northeasterly direction along Belmont Street to the city of Carbondale-Fell Township line; thence along the county road in a northerly direction, through Simpson in Fell Township, intersecting Route 35039; thence along the county road in a northerly direction, through Fell Township, intersecting Route 35040 at Richmondale; thence along the county road in a northeasterly direction, through Fell Township and Vandling Borough, respectively, to the Vandling Borough-Susquehanna County line; thence along State-aid Application 1016 and a portion of Main Street in a northerly direction, through Forest City Borough, to the intersection with Route 296, at Main and Dundaff Streets, in the borough of Forest City, in Susquehanna County, a distance of about 6.6 miles.
