Pennsylvania Statutes Title 35 P.S. Health and Safety § 10226.106. Applicability of other law

The remedies of this act shall be in addition to those provided under the act of November 6, 1987 (P.L. 381, No. 79),  1 known as the Older Adults Protective Services Act.  The requirements of Chapter 7 of the Older Adults Protective Services Act imposed on facilities which provide services to individuals with mental retardation in residences licensed by the Department of Public Welfare   2 or funded through a county mental retardation program shall apply only to the consumers and older adults as that term is defined in the Older Adult Protective Services Act.  The provisions of the act of October 20, 1966 (3rd Sp.Sess., P.L. 96, No. 6),  3 known as the Mental Health and Mental Retardation Act of 1966, and all related regulations shall continue to be applicable to such facilities.
