Any school district shall have power and authority, with the approval of the Department of Public Instruction 1 and in the manner hereinbefore provided, to acquire title in the name of the school district to any additional lands or interests in lands which may be required to carry out the purposes of these amendments and to finance such acquisition by the issuance and sale of its general obligation bonds, in the manner provided by law.
