Whenever a county is or has heretofore been divided and a new county erected therefrom the lien of all mortgages, judgments, mechanics' or other liens, verdicts, orders, decrees, awards of arbitrators, and all records which shall have been made or entered in the original county and relate to or affect lands or tenements in the new county, shall not be affected by the establishment of such new county; but, to proceed thereon, certified copies thereof shall be made by the recorder, prothonotary, clerk, register, or other proper officer, which shall be entered by the like officer in the new county, as part of the records of his office, and like proceedings be had thereon, the same as if originally entered in such new county.
