Pennsylvania Statutes Title 16 P.S. Counties § 5625. Payment of damages and costs; interest on awards

All damages agreed upon or awarded and all costs and expenses incurred shall be paid by the county, except in cases where an appeal is taken by any party in interest from the award of the viewers and the appellant does not recover any greater amount than the viewers award, in which case the appellant shall pay all costs of such appeal.

The amount of damages allowed in a report of viewers for the taking, injury or destruction of property by the exercise of the right of eminent domain shall, as finally confirmed, bear interest at the rate of six per centum per annum from the date of filing of the report.
