The head of every department, office or agency shall promptly certify to the board the names of all county employes of such department, office or agency, residence, age, nature of employment, time of entering employ, and the amount of compensation received by each, together with dismissals, resignations or terminations of service; also, furnish such other relevant information as the board may require. The head of every department, office or agency shall, in accordance with the provisions of section 1708, 1 cause to be deducted each month from the payroll of such department, office or agency the necessary contribution to be paid by each county employe who is a member of the retirement system.
