Pennsylvania Statutes Title 16 P.S. Counties § 4522. Penalties

Any county commissioner or anyone acting for the board of county commissioners who shall cause any person to be appointed to or promoted in the police force or as a fireman or fire inspector contrary to the provisions of this article, or who violates any of the provisions of this article,  1 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500) or suffer imprisonment not exceeding one year, or both.
