When a municipality is located within two or more counties, the governing body of that municipality may by ordinance enter into an agreement pursuant to 53 Pa.C.S. Ch. 23 Subch. A (relating to intergovernmental cooperation) to have a single-county department of health provide services and exercise duties and responsibilities for the entire municipality.
