Oregon Revised Statutes Labor and Employment; Unlawful Discrimination § 653.360

(1) Minors 16 years of age and 17 years of age may be employed as assistants on chartered fishing or pleasure boats.

(2) Minors 14 years of age and 15 years of age may be employed at dock areas used by chartered fishing or pleasure boats.

(3) Minors less than 18 years of age may be employed on commercial fishing vessels without an employment permit when employed and supervised by the minor's grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, brother, sister, uncle or aunt.

(4) Minors 16 years of age and 17 years of age may be employed to operate power-driven machinery in connection with their employment in the processing of agricultural commodities in an agricultural warehouse on a farm by a farmer if each such minor has completed a training program in the safe operation of such machinery as prescribed by rule of the Bureau of Labor and Industries under ORS 653.307.
