(1) The well identification number provided by the Water Resources Department when the reporting requirement of ORS 537.762 is satisfied shall be recorded on the well by a person licensed under ORS 537.747 within 30 days after the associated well work is completed.
(2) If a well does not have an identification number recorded on it at the time the property upon which the well is located is transferred, the owner of the property shall record on the well the identification number obtained from the Water Resources Department under ORS 537.791 within 30 days.
(3) The identification number on the well shall be clearly visible to a person looking for the number and shall meet minimum standards as recommended by the ground water advisory committee appointed under ORS 536.090 and adopted by the Water Resources Commission.
