The Oregon Liquor Control Commission may adopt rules establishing the circumstances under which the commission may require a marijuana retailer that holds a license issued under ORS 475B.110 to use an age verification scanner or any other equipment used to verify a person's age for the purpose of ensuring that the marijuana retailer does not sell marijuana items to a person under 21 years of age. The marijuana retailer may not retain any information obtained under this section after verifying a person's age. The marijuana retailer may not use any information obtained under this section for any purpose other than verifying a person's age.
