After the declaration of a ground water management area, the Department of Environmental Quality, in consultation with other appropriate state agencies, shall appoint a ground water management committee for the affected area if a ground water management committee has not already been appointed under ORS 468B.177. If the affected area had previously been designated an area of ground water concern, the same ground water management committee appointed under ORS 468B.177 shall continue to address the ground water issues raised as a result of the declaration of a ground water management area.
