(1) If the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services determines that standards for construction, equipment and material installed in manufactured structures provided by the statutes or rules and regulations of other states are at least equal to the minimum safety standards prescribed under ORS 446.155 to 446.200, and that such statutes, rules and regulations are being enforced, the director may provide by rule that manufactured structures approved by such other state shall be considered approved by the director.
(2) Mobile homes built between September 1, 1969, and June 15, 1976, to the American National Standards Institute Mobile Home Standards A119.1 and which also bear an insignia of compliance from the State of California, Idaho, Nevada or Washington shall be considered to comply with ORS 446.155 (2) provided no alterations have been made to the original structure.
