As used in ORS 431A.775 and 431A.780:
(1) “Person” includes an individual, partnership, association, corporation, private institution or governmental entity.
(2) “Recombinant DNA research” means research on molecules that consist of segments of deoxyribonucleic acid from different organisms which are joined together in cell-free systems and which have the capacity to infect and replicate in some host cell, either autonomously or as an integrated part of the host genome.
