When a change of the boundaries of a city through the annexation of territory is proposed pursuant to ORS 199.410 to 199.519, or 222.111 to 222.180 or city charter, the assessor of the county or counties wherein the territory to be annexed is located, shall furnish upon official request within 20 days, a statement showing for the current fiscal year the assessed valuation of the taxable property in the territory to be annexed.
