A nonresident may operate as an auctioneer within the state by conforming to this chapter.
The department of agriculture may, within its discretion, waive the testing and schooling requirements for a nonresident, provided that the nonresident holds a valid auctioneer license issued by a state with which the department has entered into a reciprocal licensing agreement. Nonresidents wishing to so operate in this state shall make application in writing to the department and furnish the department with proof of their ability to conduct an auction, proof of license and financial responsibility, as well as other information that the department may request.
A nonresident auctioneer from a state with which the department has not entered into a reciprocal licensing agreement shall not operate as an auctioneer in this state, unless that nonresident auctioneer is issued a license under this chapter.
