In the discharge of his duties under sections 6111.043 to 6111.045 of the Revised Code, the director of environmental protection may call to his assistance temporarily employees of any state department, agency, authority, or institution, or any college or university financed wholly or partly by the state. The employees shall not receive any additional compensation above that which they receive from the departments, agencies, authorities, institutions, or colleges or universities by which they are employed. From moneys available to the director for the administration and enforcement of sections 6111.043 to 6111.045 of the Revised Code, the director may reimburse the department, agency, authority, institution, or college or university for the regular salary and fringe benefit costs of the employees and for the costs of any necessary equipment or supplies provided in connection with the assistance provided to the director.
