Ohio Revised Code Title LI. Public Welfare § 5101.83

(1) “Assistance group” has the same meaning as in section 5107.02 of the Revised Code, except that it also means a group provided benefits and services under the prevention, retention, and contingency program or the comprehensive case management and employment program.

(2) “Fraudulent assistance” means assistance and services, including cash assistance, provided under the Ohio works first program established under Chapter 5107., or benefits and services provided under the prevention, retention, and contingency program established under Chapter 5108. of the Revised Code or under the comprehensive case management and employment program established under Chapter 5116. of the Revised Code, to or on behalf of an assistance group that is provided as a result of fraud by a member of the assistance group, including an intentional violation of the program's requirements. “Fraudulent assistance” does not include assistance or services to or on behalf of an assistance group that is provided as a result of an error that is the fault of a county department of job and family services or the Ohio department of job and family services.
