(A)(1) Except as otherwise provided in division (A)(2) of this section, the department of job and family services shall not implement the option available under section 6(o)(6) of the “Food and Nutrition Act of 2008,” 7 U.S.C. 2015(o)(6).
(2) The department of job and family services may implement the option described in division (A)(1) of this section only to prevent a federal penalty and to maintain compliance with federal rules governing the supplemental nutrition assistance program. The department shall not delegate the authority to waive individual work requirements or otherwise grant exemptions to county departments of job and family services. The department shall notify the chairpersons of the standing committees having jurisdiction in both the house of representatives and the senate when implementing the option described in division (A)(1) of this section.
(B) The department of job and family services shall not request, apply for, or renew a waiver authorized by section 6(o)(4) of the “Food and Nutrition Act of 2008,” 7 U.S.C. 2015(o)(4).
