To assist the standing committees overseeing the medicaid program as provided in section 103.41 of the Revised Code, the legislative service commission shall research, review, and summarize the following to the joint standing committees on request of the chairperson who calls the meeting:
(A) How the medicaid program relates to the public and private provision of health care coverage in this state and the United States;
(B) Reports issued by all agencies that participate in the medicaid program that are submitted to the commission;
(C) Policies and strategies related to both of the following:
(1) Medicaid recipients being physically and mentally able to join and stay in the workforce and ultimately becoming self-sufficient;
(2) Less use of the medicaid program.
(D) Newly-adopted rules concerning the medicaid program;
(E) Pending Ohio medicaid legislation;
(F) Medicaid legislation and innovations in other states;
(G) Local healthier buckeye councils reports submitted under section 355.04 of the Revised Code.
